Info

La Serre is a third place located at the base of the “Arbre Blanc” in Montpellier. This 440 m² area consists, on the ground floor, of a modular exhibition space and a welcoming consultation area. On the upper floor, there is a co-working space that includes meeting rooms, offices, and a workshop area. Studio Briand&Berthereau designed the interior, the furniture, and the identity. We adopted a minimalist and modular approach to the spaces so that they can adapt to evolving uses. This quest for modularity is reflected in the design and implementation of a grid under the gallery ceiling. While maintaining the simplicity of the space, this functional grid can be used to hang custom-designed panels, suspended artworks and spotlights, offering an ideal tool for staging exhibitions.
