Oysterbar Ahoy
Baden
Ahoy is an oyster bar located in Baden, on the shores of the Gulf of Morbihan, housed in a traditional Breton stone-and-slate building. Carefully renovated, the space includes an oyster workshop, kitchen, tasting counter, and tables with a sea view. The interior design highlights the surrounding landscape, featuring bistro tables made of terracotta-tinted concrete and galvanized steel, mirrors reflecting the Gulf, and furniture inspired by oyster farming — stained black wood and industrial materials. Studio Briand&Berthereau developed a material palette inspired by oyster farming: terracotta concrete reminiscent of the Sinagot boats, industrial curtains and green velvet, indirect lighting emphasizing the timber frame, and a technical gangway for storing oyster baskets. The styling, sourced from flea markets, reinforces the authentic Breton atmosphere of this intimate setting.
