Facing the Saint-Cado peninsula, the Madame Mouette restaurant offers a breathtaking view of the house on the rocky islet of Nichtarguer. The restaurant is located in a restored former traveler\u2019s hotel. A large stepped terrace was designed in consultation with the architect for French buildings to preserve the landscape on the bridge. Glass railings and the orientation of the furniture ensure a panoramic view. We have preserved the rhythm of the workshop windows, and the hand-painted signs respect the tones of the existing fa\u00e7ades. The materials used reference the maritime universe, with kumaru wood, galvanized steel, and triangular sails on masts. Local plants and garlands give the terrace a \u201cguinguette\u201d feel, punctuated by large, custom-made tables in hammered metal. Inside, the centerpiece is a large bar made of concrete tinted in the ‘Glaz’ monochrome, echoing the body of water. On the periphery, birch plywood and stainless steel benches and tables optimize a large number of seats.
