Architects Hemon and Studio Briand&Berthereau transform a 1980s building into a distinctive hotel inspired by the seaside identity of the Normandy coast. The project revisits the codes of French decorative arts and seaside architecture, bringing together colors, materials, and patterns through a more contemporary design language. Rather than a literal reconstruction, the approach seeks to capture the spirit of the era while adapting it to a new purpose, creating a setting that feels both contemporary and timeless.
