Shade canopy
Toulouse
Conceived as a landscape architecture intervention, the canopy extends the continuity of the site, bridging its industrial heritage and contemporary uses. Located on the forecourt of La Cartoucherie in Toulouse and commissioned through a Metropolitan design competition, it unfolds as a lightweight lattice inspired by the weaving loom, casting an ever-changing shadow across the square. Its pattern, composed of anodized aluminum tiles in copper-toned hues, creates a subtle interplay of light and transparency. Supporting both public use and vegetation, this flexible structure accompanies the rhythms of everyday life while discreetly revealing the qualities of the place.
